Budget cuts will mean the end for Prestwick's police office
9 SeptemberPrestwick's police office is facing closure, as part of budget cuts by Strathclyde Police over the next few months.
The front office at the station has been closed to the public since February, but it is now expected that the entire office on Main Street will be closed too.
The decision comes after a review of police spending, with the decision to close Prestwick, along with Dailly and Ballantrae being taken to free up cash to could be used elsewhere.
