Howson drawing of Prestwick teacher goes under the hammer
4 Feb 2010A drawing of a Prestwick teacher by renowned artist Peter Howson is set to go under the hammer at an auction of the artist's work in Glasgow.
The pencil drawing, entitled "Mr Ness, English Teacher at Prestwick Academy" was drawn in around 1960, and is expected to fetch between £1,000 and £1,500 at McTear's auction house, as part of a sale of 80 Howson paintings.
