Yes Geoff, if you think Glasgow. Glasgow will be very happy with you.

Ayrshire an'a' that is now our number one call sign.

There can be no mistake and of course 'Glasgow' is not in Ayrshire.

Burns an' a' that and Ayrshire an' a' that are not about Glasgow city state.

I believe we could put ourselves up for UNESCO World Heritage status.

I have the application telephone number if you are interested.

Hi Geoff,

Just off the phone with the Burns Chronicle.

They seem to have a few articles in their archives of campaigns for 'Robert Burns International Ayrport'. They seem to think Glasgow have a say in it being covered in Graffiti an' a' that.

I thought the owners were Infatril in New Zealand.

The SMP's/MP's are all for the name change. Jobs are now on the line. Anything that can be done to change that is worth while.

I know when the graffiti is removed nobody will miss it.

If Burns portrait is good enough for haggis which is good enough to be flown from Robert Burns International Prestwick Ayrport R.B.I.P.A./( PIK ) to Afganistan for our bravehearts. Who are we to argue.

When is the march ?

Robert Burns Portrait is used on haggis tinned in tartan labelled can in Galston.

Hi, The Glasgow Airport Airplay competition was held at Glasgow Airport in Glasgow!

Ayr's own Jamie McGeechan aka Little Fire made it to the finals - played his heart out but sadly did not win not for lack of talent or effort!

Tho having gone to the heats and final at Glasgow Airport Jamie's supporters managed to meet some nice folks - mainly foreign tourists who on arriving in Glasgow Airport/Glasgow discovered they should in fact have been flying from Glasgow Prestwick!!!! This does appear to be a common thing and must be so frustrating for passengers! The tourist we met  came from France, Germany etc and we did assist them to find Prestwick and had a nice chat on the train!

They just loved meeting "The Burns And A That' Battle of the bands music festival winner Little Fire and to them Ayrshire is the land o Burns . Burns is so well known all over the world surely - if Prestwick airport was renamed after Burns these kinds of mix ups would not happen!

A great starting point for renaming the Airport might be to copy Glasgow - why not  have the "Burns And A That Music Festival winner Little Fire do a special gig at Prestwick if its good enough for Glasgow an a that!
