Lift-off for new air traffic control centre
27 Jan 2010The new centre, replacing a 30-year old centre on the same site will take on around 130 controllers who have moved to Prestwick from Manchester as part of a plan to move the UK's air traffic control to two centres instead of four.
The centre will be formally opened by the Princess Royal on Friday 5th February.
