Members elected to serve Prestwick on South Ayrshire Council

  • Voters in Prestwick went to the polls on Thursday 3rd May

Voters in Prestwick took the chance to have their say on local issues this week, to elect new local representatives to serve on South Ayrshire Council as Scotland went to the polls in local elections.

After all the votes had been counted, the following candidates were elected to serve as councillors for the Prestwick ward for the next five years.

Ian Cochrane – SNP
Hugh Hunter – Conservative
Helen Moonie – Labour
Margaret Toner - Conservative

The full results for all wards are still being confirmed at the time of writing, but you can find vote totals, and the final make up of the council here on the South Ayrshire Council website.

Congratulations, and good luck to the newly-elected councillors – what issues would you like to see the new councillors tackle in our town? Post your comments and have your say here on s1prestwick
