Plans for new pub and restaurant in Prestwick centre move ahead

  • Plans are moving ahead to open an Indian restaurant and a second 'superpub' in Prestwick

Hot on the heels of the decision to grant permission for a 'superpub' in Prestwick town centre, plans have been approved for a new restaurant on Main Street.

Under the new plans, part of the old Jetset clothing shop will be converted into a new food outlet, expected to be an Indian restaurant.

Buzzworks, the landlords of the site who also own other properties in the town will lease the building to tenants, who are expected to apply for a drinks license shortly.

The landlords also have plans to develop their own superpub to rival the new Wetherspoons, and are expected to apply to convert the old Broadway, owned by the company.
