Prestwick golf club welcomes great champions for Open anniversary

  • Prestwick Golf Club welcomed five former Open champions to celebrate the 150th anniversary

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first Open Golf championship at held at Prestwick Golf Club back in 1860, a star-studded line up of former champions came to the club last week to celebrate.

Sir Bob Charles, Tony Jacklin, Sandy Lyle, Peter Thomson and Lee Trevino, who between them won 10 Open Championships joined members and special guests including the Captains of all Open venues past and present in a special competition and celebration dinner at the club.
