Prestwick promenade gets new look for centenary year

Prestwick's promenade is to receive a new look - just in time for the celebrations of the seafront's centenary year.

The promenade is being spruced up to attract visitors, with the removal of the block of dilapidated toilets and shelter at Burgh Road to make room for beach-front benches.

The move comes following consultations with the local community, and work is being carried out ahead of the centenary celebrations later in the year.
