Vote for great Prestwick fundraiser Eileen as Scottish hero
27 AugustA Prestwick mum has been named as one of Scotland's Everyday heroes in ni a nationwide competition.
Eileen Granger, who is a well-known face around the town raising funds for the CLIC Sargent charity, has raised nearly £300,000 through her own efforts, which began back in 2006 when her son Ross was diagnosed with cancer.
Her next fundraising adventure will be when she abseils down the Falkirk wheel next month - just one of many events she's organised and taken part in over the last few years, including a zip-slide at Prestwick's promenade centenary celebrations, and the chilly Boxing Day dip on the beach.
